Our journey began in 2004, not in a bustling metropolis, but amidst the honey-toned Georgian architecture of Bath. It was here that two designers, Jack and Angela, discovered a shared passion. Jack, with his background in architectural restoration, had a profound respect for the bones of a building—its history, its light, and its flow. Angela, an artist with an intuitive gift for colour and texture, believed that a home’s soul was found in the details that make it truly liveable.

They saw a need for a design approach that was both reverent and relevant, one that could breathe new life into the historic properties of the Cotswolds without sacrificing their timeless character. They envisioned spaces that felt calm, authentic, and deeply connected to their stunning natural surroundings. From this simple idea, our business was founded.

Cultivating a Reputation (2004 – 2015)

Working from a small studio overlooking a Bath crescent, our first projects were intimate residential commissions. We immersed ourselves in the unique architectural language of the region, from rambling stone farmhouses and converted barns to elegant Grade II listed townhouses. Our signature style began to take shape: a delicate balance of rustic charm and contemporary comfort.

Jack’s expertise in spatial planning and sourcing reclaimed materials was the perfect foundation for Angela’s curated layers of natural linens, bespoke joinery, and palettes inspired by the Cotswold landscape. We quickly became known for creating homes that were not just beautiful, but deeply personal and practical. We built our reputation one project at a time, fostering strong relationships with local artisans, stonemasons, and craftspeople who shared our commitment to quality and authenticity.

Growth and New Horizons (2015 – Today)

As our portfolio grew, so did our team and our ambition. We moved into our current design studio and showroom in the artisan quarter of Bath, creating a space where clients could see and feel the materials that define our work. While our heart and our primary focus remain firmly rooted in the Cotswolds, our reputation for sensitive and thoughtful design has attracted clients from further afield.

We now take on a select number of projects across the UK, from coastal retreats in Cornwall to sophisticated apartments in London, always bringing our signature Cotswold sensibility with us. In recent years, we have also expanded our expertise into the boutique hospitality sector, helping to design country house hotels and gastropubs that offer visitors an authentic taste of modern country living. Today, we’re driven by the same partnership and passion that sparked its creation over two decades ago. Jack and Angela continue to lead every project, ensuring that every space we design is a perfect reflection of the client’s vision and the building’s unique story.
